Our answer would be, Becky Wade!
After running the world (literally) and speeding through Houston's half marathon earlier this year, she did it again. Our very own Becky ran the 39th Crescent City Classic on Saturday in New Orleans and was the first American woman to cross the finish line with a whooping time of 34:47.
I caught Becky after the race and was able to ask her some questions. "It's always great to be the first American," Becky said with full pride during our phone interview. She loved New Orleans and all the beautiful surroundings she saw during the run. The band was one of her favorite things after the run that made for a fun and casual environment. A true people person, Becky mentioned, "everyone was just out there having a good time, and I just absolutely love that."
Next, Becky is hoping to participate in the Boston Marathon in 2018 and we are excited to keep following her journey. From the whole isplack Team: Congrats, Becky!
